Dave Govan is the Founder of G2 Strategic Advisory Services. Dave founded G2SAS in 2007 to help technology companies adapt to changes in the digital economy and increase market value by optimizing business strategy and Sales & Marketing execution. Dave passionately enjoys his career in the technology industry that has spanned over twenty five years and has enabled him to establish a vast network of customer and vendor relationships across most vertical industries. Dave is considered by many to be a subject matter expert in technology sales & marketing. He is the Author of a Blog on 21'st Century Sales & Marketing and a business book on improving sales, Crisis in the Enterprise. Dave's book is available for sale online on this site as well as at Amazon.com, Barnes&Noble.com and in bookstores. Dave is also a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, a 12,000 member Angel Investor organization. Prior to founding G2SAS, Dave was a Senior Vice President at VeriSign, a Fortune 800 technology company, where Dave led his $220 million organization to achieve twice the compounded annual growth rate in the industry (37% CAGR) by driving adoption of new market penetration strategies and improving sales effectiveness. A year earlier, Dave was awarded the Chairman’s Leadership Award. Prior to VeriSign, Dave was a Senior Vice President at Juice Software, a thirty person business intelligence start up now part of (MSFT), where he helped raise $25 million in Venture Capital and close the company's first $1 million in sales from major accounts. Prior to Juice Software, Dave experienced the rise and fall of the .com "boom" and "bust", as a Vice President of Sales at Online Personalization software provider NetPerceptions (NETP). Prior to NETP, Dave was a Regional Manager at Oracle Corporation within Oracle's Major Accounts group. Earlier at Oracle, Dave was awarded one of Oracle's highest sales honors - Global Account Manager of the Year by Oracle’s Executive Committee. Lane, Chairman, Hewlett-Packard, General Partner at VC firm Kleiner Perkins and former President and COO of Oracle Corp. Before joining Oracle, Dave was a three time top 10% Award Winner and an eight time 100% club winner with Digital Equipment Corporation (now part of Hewlett Packard). Dave has had professional training in leadership, management, finance, sales, marketing and various technologies. Dave graduated from Rider University with a degree in Marketing and a concentration in Computer Science.
