Curriculum Vitae

David Spindel has nearly 15 years of Strategy Leadership experience with global high technology product and services businesses. Most recently he was Vice President of Corporate Strategic Planning for Unisys Corporation and prior to that VP of Strategy for Unisys’ Professional Services and Vertical Solutions business unit. While at Unisys, David designed, deployed and managed the corporate strategic planning process as well as a clean sheet process for end to end solution development and portfolio management. Working directly with the CEO and key members of the senior team, he was instrumental in the development of a strategic plan and execution roadmap that drove a major repositioning of the company. This effort led to a 500 basis point improvement in operating margins over the strategy horizon and touched virtually every aspect of Unisys business including a rationalization and refocusing of the portfolio, a reengineering of services delivery and major modifications to the go to market model. He also led numerous strategic initiatives addressing both revenue growth and operational efficiency and managed key strategic divestiture activities. Prior to joining Unisys, David spent over 20 years at Xerox Corporation where he held increasingly responsible positions in strategy, product management, strategic pricing and marketing, most recently as VP of Strategy for the company’s $5B Document Production Systems business unit. While at Xerox, David led the development of business and product strategy for a new High Speed Color printing business that grew from zero to $200 million in revenue in less than two years and developed/launched a family of products that continues to drive a significant share of Xerox’s revenue growth today. David has both a BA in Mathematics and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
