Curriculum Vitae
Keith Chappell has led Corporate Strategy organizations and professional services business units at major global technology corporations for over 10 years. Most recently, Keith led the Corporate Strategy team at Unisys, where he had oversight of both an extensive multi-faceted turnaround program, and a strategic repositioning of the company. The turnaround program that Keith led resulted in an improvement in operating cashflow of more than 120% over a two year period. The strategic repositioning effort targeted the emerging “Converged Security” market and enabled Unisys to grow at double digit percentages in those spaces in the year following implementation. Prior to Unisys, Keith spent nine years at Lucent Technologies, including five years leading the Lucent Corporate Strategy organization. As Vice President of Corporate Strategy, Keith led strategic initiatives focused on portfolio restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and regional growth and new market entry. Keith also led the Global Communications Applications Practice within LWS Professional Services, where he expanded that business from $35 million in revenue per year to a run rate of over $100 million per year over a three year period. Prior to Lucent, Keith spent five years with the Texas office of McKinsey & Company, consulting with clients and leading strategy engagements in computing, high-tech and other industries. Keith had previously worked within the Mission Operations Directorate at NASA as a Space Shuttle propulsion systems flight controller. Keith received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
