Steve Lerner is a Customer Advisor at G2 Strategic Advisory Services.  Steve has nearly 30 years of IT experience with much of this time in the Life Sciences industry. He has over 20 years in leadership positions. He is a member of the Board of Directors of New Jersey Technology Council and is a co-chair of the NJTC CIO Advisory Board. He is also on the board of JumpStart NJ Angel Network.

Steve led Celgene IT throughout a significant corporate growth period over the last dozen years as Celgene grew to be the third-largest biotechnology company and a part of the S&P 500 and NASDAQ 100 indices. He developed and implemented the IT strategy and organization in support of the growth from 100 employees and essentially no revenue, to over 4,000 employees in over 70 countries with 2011 revenue projected in the range of $4.5 billion.

Prior to joining Celgene, Steve consulted in a variety of industries including warehousing/logistics, clinical research, software/technology and direct mail. Previously he was IT Director at Enzon, Inc. (now Enzon Pharmaceuticals). He started his career with Bell Laboratories and Bell Communications Research.

Steve was selected CIO of the Year (2010) by the New Jersey Technology Council. He holds a B.S. in Industrial Economics and an M.S. in Computer Science, earning both in 4 years from Union College, N.Y.
